The Process

The Guest Journey

From application to episode, here's exactly what to expect when you guest on Laptop & Latte.

Inquiry or Outreach

You reach out via the guest form, or we reach out to you directly. Either way, this is just the beginning of a conversation — not a commitment.

Guest Intake Form

You complete a short form that gives us your story summary, background, whether you'd be recording in-person or virtually, your headshot, and social handles. This helps us understand who you are before we get on a call.

Pre-Production Call Booking

After you've filled the form, next is booking a 30–45 minute pre-production call. You will see the scheduling link after submitting — pick a time that works for you.

Internal Review

Before the call, our team reviews your intake form and prepares. We want to walk into the pre-production call already knowing the broad shape of your story so we can ask better questions.

Pre-Production Call

This is the most important step in the process. We use this call to get to know you properly, align on the episode topic, explore the angles that feel most true to your experience, and walk you through what recording day looks like. You are not performing in this call. It is a real conversation.

Internal Approval

After the pre-production call, our team reviews and decides: proceed, hold for a future episode, or — if there is a genuine mismatch — decline with honesty. We do not leave anyone without a clear answer.

Recording Scheduled

Once approved, our production team contacts you to lock in a recording date. For in-studio guests, we confirm location logistics, wardrobe guidance, and on-set timing. For virtual guests, we confirm the platform and technical setup.

Recording Options

In Person or Virtual

We record in-studio and virtually — whichever works best for you. Our studio is a professional setup built for natural, editorial-quality conversation, and our virtual setup is designed to match it as closely as possible.

If you're able to join us in person, we'd love to have you. If you're recording remotely, we use high-quality tools to ensure your audio and presence come through clearly, wherever you are.

Either way, the experience is the same: a focused, unhurried conversation built entirely around your story.
